The 'King of Talk' Boy Abunda chose to remain silent over the breakup statement of Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque, which he earlier confirmed.
On Sunday, the celebrity couple released a joint statement confirming that they have ended their engagement, explaining that it was not an easy decision to make. They also expressed their disappointment towards other people for breaking the news "without our consent."
It can be recalled that Abunda confirmed in his show that Bea and Dominic have separated.
During the sidelines of his contract signing on Monday, Abunda was asked about his reaction to the couple's statement.
"There’s a time to speak and a time to shut up. Right at this moment, I’m choosing to shut up — but not for long," he said.
"May dahilan para mag-react sa statement pero I’m not going to do that now," he added.
Aside from Abunda, celebrity manager and showbiz insider Ogie Diaz also reported the split of the couple.
The couple got engaged in July 2023 after two years of dating.
In April 2021, Bea first confirmed that she and the 32-year-old actor are in a relationship.
