The Meralco Bolts regained the lead in the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup Finals after defeating the San Miguel Beer, 93-89, on Sunday, June 9, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

Chris Newsome put in 26 points while Raymond Almazan finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds for Meralco to emerge victorious in Game Three of the best-of-seven series.

With 51 seconds left in the clock, the defending PBA Philippine Cup champions grabbed the lead, 89-88, after Junemar Fajardo buried back-to-back free throws.

A three-point basket by Newsome allowed the Bolts to go up, 91-89, and a pair of charities provided them with the four point cushion that they needed to win the game.
