The San Miguel Beer and the Meralco Bolts face one another anew on Sunday, June 9, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

Both teams will seek to take the lead in the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup Finals after the Beermen tied the series, 1-1, in Game Two last Friday, June 7, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

CJ Perez scored 34 points while Junemar Fajardo finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds for San Miguel to bag a 94-95 win in Game Three.

Marcio Lassiter buried the three point basket that allowed the defending PBA Philippine Cup champions to take a one-point lead with 13 seconds still left in the clock.

At the start of the fourth quarter, a basket by Brandon Bates allowed put the Bolts up by six, 75-69.

The Beermen seized the lead, 80-78, after a 10-point scoring run but a jump shot by Bates tied the score, and free throws by Chris Newsome put Meralco ahead, 82-80.

Cliff Hodge registered 25 points, while Chris Banchero added 16 points for the Bolts that fell short of taking a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven finals series.
