Pauline Amelinckx, a native of Bohol, is making a strong bid for the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 crown after bagging ten special awards during the pageant’s preliminary rounds.

The event was held at the grand ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque City on May 10, 2023.

Pauline was the recipient of several sponsor awards, including Miss Creamsilk Ultimate, Miss Soen, Miss Kemans Body, Miss Origee Beauty Drink by Skin Magical, and Miss Hello Glow.

Moreover, she also received five special awards from Miss Jojo Bragais, Miss Titan Universe, Miss Enderun, Miss Smilee Apparel, and Miss Avana.

With her impressive collection of special awards, the Boholana beauty has solidified her position as a top contender in the competition. During the pageant, she expressed self-confidence and resilience as she entered her third attempt to win the Miss Universe crown.

Aside from Pauline, three other candidates stood out during the preliminary competition of Miss Universe Philippines 2023.

Michelle Dee of Makati City was the recipient of multiple accolades, including Miss Pond's, Miss Aqua Boracay, and Miss Zion Philippines.

Angelique Manto of Pampanga also made a remarkable impression, taking home four prestigious awards: Miss Avon, Miss Okada, Miss Jewelmer, and Miss Cavaso.

Meanwhile, Jannarie Zarzoso of Agusan del Norte was recognized with a special award from Kingston International College for having the highest number of online votes.

As the competition heats up, Pauline and the other candidates are gearing up for the final competition on May 13 which will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena — with Xian Lim and Alden Richards as hosts.
