The Bureau of Customs (BOC) and other agencies have identified the consignee of P3.6 billion worth of shabu seized by authorities in a warehouse in Mexico, Pampanga, on Wednesday, September 29.
In an exclusive interview on DZRH Damdaming Bayan, Atty. Jet Maronilla said they will not publicize the name of the consignee or the person who received the drug shipment.
According to Maronilla, they will not reveal the consignee so as not to affect the ongoing investigation by the Philippine National Police (PNP), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
"Tinu-turn over namin yung information na iyon with the NBI, PDEA, and DOJ Task Force; we will leave it up to them to reveal the consignees at the proper time. Ayaw lang namin maimpede sir yung investigation na giagawa nila kasi may mga mga follow-up operations pa po ito na ginagawa," he said.
On Wednesday, a total of 560 kilos of shabu sealed in tea bags were discovered in a warehouse in Purok 5, San Malino where it was first declared as animal feed.
Meanwhile, BOC assured that they would destroy the seized bulk shabu from Thailand.
