The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Sunday announced that it once again surpassed its 2022 revenue collection goal in November.
In a statement, BOC said its November revenue collection has logged Php 76.770 billion. This is Php 16.176 billion or 26.7 percent higher than their monthly target of Php 60.603 billion.
The total revenue collection is now Php 790.301 billion from January to November this year, according to Customs.
“All 17 Collection Districts of the agency also achieved their cumulative revenue targets for 11 months,“ BOC said.
Last Nov. 11, BOC marked its highest collection performance in history as it collected Php 745.50 billion, exceeding its initial target of Php 721.52 billion in revenue collection for 2022.
BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz acknowledged the “collective efforts and dedication“ of BOC employees, adding that they continue to be in the frontline that provides services for the country.
Earlier, Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno said that the surplus in revenue target could cover the “shortfall of other national revenue-generating agencies.“
