<p>The Bureau of Customs (BuCor) reported on Wednesday that it has achieved another significant milestone as it logged ₱7.510 billion in revenue collection on April 28.</p>
<p>In a statement, BOC said the April 28 record is&nbsp;&nbsp;₱1.436 billion or 23.64 percent higher from the previous highest-daily record of ₱6.074 in October 14 last year.</p>
<p>"The BOC&rsquo;s remarkable performance can be attributed to its continuous efforts to implement proper valuation which resulted in a notable increase in revenue collection," it noted.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The agency stated the milestone reflects its "commitment to achieve its revenue targets", and also accentuates its role in " promoting economic growth and development in the country."</p>
<p>"BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the agency&rsquo;s employees and stakeholders for their dedication and hard work that led to this remarkable achievement," the BOC said.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the agency also reported that it exceeded its revenue collection target in April with ₱68.274 billion.</p>
<p>BOC said in the first four months of 2023, it now recorded ₱281.902 billion which surpasses the original target collection of ₱265.220 billion.</p>
