On Thursday, the Bobon Municipal Police conducted an anti-illegal gambling operation at Barangay Dancalan, Bobon Northern Samar and arrested six illegal gambling violators.

The individuals were caught engaging in the illegal activity known as “tong-its”, a popular card game in the Philippines. Two set of playing cards were confiscated, along with a bet money amounting to PHP1,410.

Suspects were taken to the Bobon Municipal Police Station, along with the confiscated evidence for documentation and proper disposition.

The law prohibits individuals from partaking in illegal gambling activities such as jueteng, masiao, and last two. Penalties would be imposed to any person caught taking part in all forms of illegal gambling.
