Former My Chemical Romance (MCR) drummer, Bob Bryar, was found dead in his Tennessee home, US media outlets reported on Saturday. He was 44.
Law enforcement told TMZ that Bryar was found dead in his home on Tuesday, November 26. He was last seen alive on November 4 (US time).
Authorities did not suspect any signs of foul play, as all of the former drummer's weapons and music equipment in the house were left untouched.
However, authorities noted that Bryar's body was “badly decomposed” when it was first discovered. Two dogs were taken away by Animal Control, while the medical examiner is still investigating the cause and manner of Bryar's death.
Meanwhile, MCR is currently processing the news of the former drummer's passing, its spokesperson told CNN.
Bryar officially joined MCR in 2004, replacing Matt Pelissier. He played drums for the band's critically acclaimed “The Black Parade” album. He left in 2010, making him the band's longest-tenured drummer.
He eventually shifted his career in real estate, and announced his retirement from drumming.
MCR is set to play several stadium shows in the US and Canada next year, in celebration of The Black Parade.
