Not just one, but four of the well-loved K-pop artists from SM Entertainment will be visiting the country next month for a benefit concert for the elderly.
On Friday, concert promoter Neuwave Events and Productions announced that BoA, TVXQ!'s U-Know and MAX Changmin, and EXO's Xiumin and Chen will headline its concert for a cause titled "Be You 2: The World Will Care" on December 8 and 9.
The concert will take place in two cities: Mactan Newtown Open Grounds on December 8 in Cebu and at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on December 9 in Manila, respectively.
They will also be joined by four other local artists such as Pilita Corrales, Ian Veneracion, Lady Pipay, P-pop girl group G22 (in Manila only), and Lukas Magallano (in Cebu only).
Details such as the ticket price, seat plan, and others have yet to be announced.
This follows the first benefit concert produced by Neuwave Events and Productions last July — the "Be You: The World Will Adjust," which gave spotlight to the children with special needs.
The concert was headlined by the girl group Red Velvet, another K-pop act under SM Entertainment, together rising P-pop stars BINI, BGYO, and Lady Pipay.
Debuted in 2000s, BoA, whose real name is Kwon Bo-Ah, is considered to be one of the legendary idols in the K-pop world. She has seen commercial success both in South Korea and Japan.
Meanwhile, Pop duo TVXQ! was supposed to hold their concert in the country last July 2019 but was postponed indefinitely due to some technical difficulties.
They debuted as a five-member group in 2003.
EXO's Chen and Xiumin last visited Manila in 2019 and 2018, respectively, for their group's concerts.
Xiumin, whose real name is Kim Min-Seok, recently released his first solo album "Brand New" while Chen or Kim Jong-Dae is set to drop his third album "Last Scene" on November 14.
