The Philippines won the bronze medal in the 2023 Men's Softball Asia Cup after defeating Hong Kong, 7-0, on Wednesday, June 28, in Kochi, Japan.

The third place-finish of the Blu Boys allowed the Philippines to secure a spot in the 2025 Men's Softball World Cup in Canada.

Prior to the bronze medal match, the Filipinos snagged victories against India (5-1), Chinese Taipei (7-1), and Hong Kong (8-0) in the preliminary round.

However, the Philippines also suffered losses at the hands of Singapore (9-5), and Japan (6-0).

Lhuillier also praised the squad for earning a spot in the World Cup.
