Billboard Philippines on Wednesday announced that P-pop girl group BINI and Filipino-Japanese indie singer Ena Mori will be recognized in its first-ever Billboard Philippines’ Women in Music set for March 22.

According to Billboard Philippines, BINI, the nation's girl group, will be conferred with the Music Rising Star award for solidifying their mark in the local music scene with hits "Pantropiko", "Karera", and recently-released "Salamin, Salamin".

The eight-member girl group will be the first recipient of the award.

"Seeing how far the impact of their music has gone, has inspired the group to remain committed to authenticity, resisting industry standards to carve out their own identity, rather than conforming to traditional idol standards," Billboard PH remarked.

BINI Maloi expressed her gratitude for the recognition.

"[T]hank you[,] thank you thank you so much everyone esp[ecially] to our blooms. [M]y heart is so full, ang daming blessings, nakaka-excite na malaman nyo hihi," Maloi shared in a X (formerly Twitter) post.

Debuted in 2020, BINI has so far won in Saludo Excellence Awards 2021, TikTok Awards Philippines 2022, 2nd Diamond Excellence Awards 2022, and Brazil's BreakTudo Awards 2023.

The group will be holding their first-ever solo concert at the New Frontier Theater, Quezon City in June.

Meanwhile, Ena Mori will be receiving the Rule Breaker award for the milestones she achieved in 2023.

Billboard PH described Ena Mori as an artist who has "pushed the envelope throughout their careers, constantly innovating and redefining their sound, and in the process, challenging and expanding the boundaries of pop music itself."
