United States President Joe Biden on Sunday announced their provision of a new military aid package worth $375 million for Ukraine.
Biden made the announcement following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the G7 summit held in Japan over the weekend.
According to reports, the military aid package contains ammunition, artillery, armored vehicles, and training.
The U.S. has previously supplied to Ukraine before, and the new military aid package is said to be vital for the war-torn country in Spring and Summer, the months when the combat is expected to be difficult.
Earlier, the U.S. president agreed to the third-party transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine and told his counterparts that he would provide assistance for a joint international effort in training Ukrainian pilots.
For the record, none of the countries but the U.S. committed to sending any F-16s to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Zelenskyy is reportedly making a surprise visit to Saudi Arabia to drum up support for his country’s war effort.
