Filipina golfer Bianca Pagdanganan swung her way into 4th place, ending her campaign with a strong finish and an improved record in the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the Le Golf Nacional on Saturday (Manila time).

Pagdanganan recovered from a joint-13th place at the end of the third day to almost securing a spot on the podium in the Olympics.

The 26-year old PH bet shot a 4-under 68 in the last round, she achieved an overall score of 6-under 282, placing herself in contention for a bronze medal playoff.

Chinese golfer Lin Xiyu, however, made a birdie on the 18th hole to card a 3-under 69 for the round and a total of 7-under 281, officially denying Pagdanganan a place at the podium.

This marks a significant improvement for the Pinay golfer, who finished 43rd in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

This concludes the campaign of Filipino athletes at the Paris Olympics, where the team secured two gold and two bronze medals.
