The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deported two Indian nationals accused of being terrorists.

BI said that Manpreet Singh Gill, 23 years old, and Mandeep Singh, 26 years old, returned to New Delhi, India on Sunday, August 13, via a Thai Airways flight.

Local authorities apprehended the two Indian nationals during an operation last March in Iloilo City.

Bi said that the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation shared information regarding the several charges, including the unlawful activities prevention act, and a murder investigation against Gill in India.

Local immigration authorities also received information from the Indian regarding an arrest warrant issued against Gill.

Meanwhile, BI said that Singh faced deportation for harboring a fugitive and violating the conditions of his stay in the Philippines.

The agency added that the Philippines also deported Amrik Singh and Hayer Amritpal Singh, companions of the two suspected terrorists, last May.

"Their deportation ensures that our country is safe from these undesirable aliens that pose a major threat to our people,” BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said in a statement.

"Our close coordination with other governments would allow us to continuously hunt down and deport these fugitives," Tansingco added.
