Retired Supreme Court Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin has been appointed as the new Executive Secretary of President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.

Bersamin, who is the current chairman of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) board of trustees, took his oath before the President on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Malacanang.

He replaced lawyer Vic Rodriguez who stepped down from the said post due to family reasons.
