Ben&Ben is back with a new single "The Ones We Once Loved," a song about closure and words left unsaid after a relationship ends.
The nine-piece folk-pop band released the new track on Friday, August 26 in all music platforms along with a an official lyric video uploaded on their YouTube channel.
"The Ones We Once Loved" is written by Ben&Ben’s lead vocalist Paolo Guico, while it is produced by Johnoy Danao and Jean-Paul Verona
Prior to its release, Paolo opened up through a letter he shared on Twitter where he admitted that the song was inspired by his previous relationship.
"The time that passed since then has been an incredible journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth for the both of us, individually. Eventually, peace, acceptance, respect for the past, and closure came. It wasn't easy, and there were many emotions that went into that process," he wrote.
"So my prayer is that if you are going through your own process right now, or there are unspoken feelings or thoughts that you may still have, may this song help you through them. May you have the closure you search for, and the happiness you deserve," he ended.
