BBM camp on Prez Duterte's blind item: 'We don't feel alluded to'
by John Dexter Tilo19 November 2021

"We don't feel alluded to."

This was the simple response of Vic Rodriguez, spokesperson of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos, on President Rodrigo Duterte's "blind item" yesterday, where he hinted that a presidential candidate is into cocaine.

Duterte said that this candidate is much loved by the current voters and comes from a well-known family also known for its patriarch.

Netizens speculated that Duterte's descriptions fit Marcos, who is the son of the late Dictator Ferdinand Marcos and is leading independent surveys on the national elections as of late.

But his camp shrugged off the president's remarks the day before and said they do not feel like Duterte was referring to Marcos.

"We don't feel alluded to," Rodriguez told DZRH in an interview.

According to Rodriguez, the Marcos camp only holds high respects for Duterte.

"We only have the highest respect, paggalang at pagkilala sa Pangulong Duterte," he said.

Meanwhile, on Duterte's remark that he would only support Senator and presidential aspirant Christopher "Bong" Go and not Marcos, Rodriguez said that it was just the right thing.

"Tama naman po 'yun sapagkat magkapartido sila at meron silang sariling decision-making process," he said.

(It’s right because they are from the same party and they have their own decision-making process.)

"Magkaganoon pa man, nananatili po yung mataaas na paggalang, respeto, pagkilala at pagtingin ni Bongbong Marcos kay PRRD," he said.

(Despite this, the high respect and regard of Bongbong Marcos to PRRD remains.)
