Batanes will be under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from September 20 until October 4 following the surge of COVID-19 cases in the province.
In an announcement, the Provincial COVID-19 Task Force Group of Batanes said all inbound passenger flights are canceled until further notice to allow health workers and frontliners to address the community transmission in the province.
"As of Sept. 18, 2021, our quarantine and isolation facilities and the Batanes General Hospital have reached their maximum capacity," the advisory read.
"Thus, the province can no longer accommodate inbound passengers who are still required to undergo mandatory facility-based quarantine pursuant to local protocols," it added.
As of Monday, Batanes logged 100 new COVID-19 cases, bringing its total tally to 138.
The province has now a total of 121 active cases, with 17 recoveries and zero deaths.
