This recital of hymn and pledge was made following the prescription of Malacañang under the Memorandum Circular No. 52 which states that "all national government agencies and instrumentalities, including GOCCs and educational institutions, such as SUCs are hereby directed, and LGUs are hereby encouraged, to integrated the recital of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and Pledge in the conduct of weekly flag ceremonies, subject to existing laws, ruled and regulations."
Interviewed during Dos Por Dos on Monday, PCO Usec. Franz Imperial said PCO is currently distributing copies of the hymn and pledge.

The order was issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on June 4.
It can be recalled on July 2023 when the Marcos administration unveiled the Bagong Pilipinas brand of governance and leadership campaign to implement an “all-inclusive plan for economic and social transformation.”
