Rising American actor Hudson Joseph Meek passed away on December 21, in Alabama. He was 16.
U.S. media outlets reported, citing the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, that the actor died from sustaining blunt force trauma, after falling from a moving vehicle, last December 19, at Vestavia Hills, Alabama. They said that Meek died two days later at UAB Hospital.
According to authorities, Meek's death is under investigation by the Vestavia Hills police.
The sad news of Meek's passing was shared in a statement from the young actor's Instagram account.
“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met,” the statement read.

Additionally, his agency, J Pervis Talent Agency also posted on social media to honor his memory.
“Hudson was more than just a talent, he was a source of inspiration and touched so many lives with his enthusiasm, kindness, smile and innate ability to light up a room and never meet a stranger. He will be remembered with great affection by us all,” the agency wrote.

According to the actor's obituary, a celebration of Meek's life will be held on December 28 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, in Homewood, Alabama. He is survived by his parents and older brother.
Meek played the young version of Ansel Elgort's Baby character in the 2017 film, “Baby Driver.”
He also had roles in MacGyver, Found, and The School Duel.
