Philippine authorities seek to identify the country of origin of the Php 13.3 billion worth of crystallized methamphetamine, locally known as shabu, seized in Alitagtag, Batangas.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said on Tuesday, April 16, that seized narcotics came from outside the Philippines.
The President also described the seized drugs as 'very high quality'.
"Nakapagtest na ang PNP, tinest na ‘yung nahuling shabu, very high quality itong nandito, very high potency, ibig sabihin," Marcos said.
Police discovered the illegal drugs after intercepting the van carrying the narcotics at a checkpoint on Monday, April 15, in Brgy. Pinagkurusa, Alitagtag.
