Aurora takes down FCAP to reach MPL PH grand finals, M6 Slot

Aurora has secured its spot in the MPL Philippines Season 14 grand finals and is now the Philippines’ second representative in the M6 World Championship.

They achieved this after a thrilling 4-2 victory against the reigning world champions, Falcons AP Bren, in the Lower Bracket Finals on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

The match started with a dominant performance from FCAP, who claimed Game 1 with 17-2 victory in just 11 minutes. Angelo "Pheww" Archangel led the charge using Lou Yi, finishing with 5 kills, 1 death, and 15 assists.

However, Aurora quickly bounced back in Game 2, leveling the series. Renejay "Renejay" Barcarse, playing Mathilda, helped the team to take control of the map with a 0/1/11 KDA.

Aurora continued to demonstrate their skill and strategy in Games 3 and 4, showing a balanced yet aggressive playstyle that put them at match point.

In Game 5, Falcons AP Bren fought back in a tightly contested match, but Aurora held a narrow lead in kills, 9-11, with Michael "Kyletzy" Sayson's Su You leading the way with a 6/2/7 KDA.

Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto was named Match MVP for his outstanding performance with X-Borg, achieving a flawless 7/0/4 KDA.

This victory marks the first appearance in the M-Series for both Demonkite and Jan “Domeng” Del Mundo.

Aurora will face Fnatic ONIC Philippines in the grand finals, which will take place in a best-of-seven series on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
