The world shall see the Northern Lights shine on the finals.
Aurora Gaming PH (RORA) became the first team to secure a seat in the M7 World Championship Grand Finals after a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants (SRG) on Thursday, January 22.
After winning the opening game, Aurora fell behind 1-2 against the reigning MSC champions. Facing elimination, the Filipino squad rallied behind veteran EXP laner Edward “Edward” Dapadap, whose signature Yu Zhong play in Game 4 forced a deciding fifth match.
The finale was a 23-minute war of attrition featuring five Lord captures. Aurora eventually broke SRG's defense following a decisive river clash led by Jan “Demonkite” Caranto’s Akai, sealing the "reverse sweep" and keeping the Philippines' quest for a sixth consecutive world title on track.
