"I’ll see you later, Eren."
After a decade, the popular Japanese anime television series "Attack on Titan" (AOT) concluded with the part two of the Final Chapters aired last Friday, Nov. 4.
The 1 hour and 24 minutes episode was cut in half — "The Battle of Heaven and Earth" and "A Long Dream”.
The Battle of Heaven and Earth
The first cut "The battle of Heaven and Earth" showed the remaining Scout Regiment members, Mikasa, Armin, Levi, Connie, and Jean teaming up with Reiner and Pieck to blow up Eren's Founding Titan form and thwart the Rumbling.
However, Eren sends countless resurrected Titan Shifters, including Bertholdt, Galliard, Marcel, and Ymir, to prevent them from executing the plan.
Amidst the tough and bloody battle, Falco, Annie, and Gabi show up and help Scout Regiment, Reiner, and Pieck in killing the resurrected Titan Shifters.
A Long Dream
The second cut "A Long Dream” demonstrated how Armin and Zeke successfully awaken the spirits of the resurrected Titan Shifters in the Path. These Titan Shifters then help the Scout Regiment in fighting back against Eren's troops.
The rumbling then stops after Levi successfully cuts Zeke's head. But just as everyone thinks that Colossal Titan cease in trampling the earth, Eren emerges in a new Titan form and combats Armin.
After a vision floods Mikasa, she pushes to finish her mission: to enter Eren's Titan and decapitate him.
End of an era
Fans around the world were deeply saddened by the end of AOT, an anime series that many grew up watching.
