Advocate group Atin Ito coalition successfully achieved its three main objectives during the first day of its sail in the West Philippine Sea on Wednesday, May 15.

According to the progressive group and coalition-member Akbayan Party, the following objectives were executed:

1. Conducting a peace and solidarity regatta comprised of 5 civilian marine vessels and 100 small fishing boats in our exclusive economic zone (EEZ)

2. Placing symbolic buoys or 3-markers carrying the message "WPS, Atin Ito!"

3. Completing the first round of distributing supplies, including fuel and food packs, to Filipino fishermen.

Despite the intimidating armada of Chinese vessels, Atin Ito has successfully installed markers 14 nautical miles off Palauig Point in Zambales within the country's 200-nautical-mile EEZ.

"Atin Ito Coalition is now in EEZ and has successfully deployed symbolic buoys and markers bearing the message: WPS, Atin Ito!" Atin Ito Coalition said in a post.

The BRP Bagacay is still present on the mission to escort the civilian convoy on its second day of mission.
