Buhay Representative Lito Atienza on Friday told presidential aspirant Ping Lacson to "learn some manners" after the latter rejected his suggestion to drop out of the presidential race to give way to a Pacquiao-Sotto tandem.
Atienza, who is running for vice president for Senator Manny Pacquiao, said that he is considering pulling out from the vice presidential race "very seriously."
He added that he wants Pacquiao to run with Senate President Vicente Sotto III, running-mate of Lacson, who Atienza said he is "praying and hoping" would withdraw to "change the whole structure that could completely demolish" the Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte lead in the elections.
In response, Lacson slammed Atienza and called his pronouncement "uncalled."
In an interview on Friday, Atienza said the presidential aspirant did not seem to take his suggestion well.
"Wala naman akong sinabing masama. Di ko naman sinabing disqualified siya. Di ko naman sinabing masamang tao siya. Di ko sinabi lahat yung mga depekto niya," Atienza said.
"Yung sagot niya, bumalik daw… I took that (GMRC) up in Grade 1, 2, 3, 4 and in my family home… Yun ang insulting. My retort to that is, learn some manners, too, Ping. Yung values mo iba e," he added.
