At least eight people has perished due to the effects of the southwest monsoon, Tropical Depression Butchoy, and Typhoon Carina based on the monitoring of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

As of Tuesday, July 23, NDRMMC validated four deaths in the Zamboanga Peninsula.

The NDRRMC also reported that Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) each recorded a single casualty.

Meanwhile, NDRRMC still needs to validate a reported death in BARMM.
