Moonbin of the K-pop boy group ASTRO has passed away at age of 25, his music label confirmed on Thursday, April 19.
"On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left us and has now become a star in the sky," Fantagio Music Entertainment said in a statement.
"It pains us even more to have to convey this sudden news to the fans who have given their unsparing love and support to Moonbin. Because we know all too well just how unparalleled the departed [Moonbin] was in his love for his fans, whom he was constantly thinking of, the grief is all the more overwhelming," it added.

Fantagio said a solemn funeral will be held, with Moonbin's family, close friends, and agency colleagues.
Citing a police report, Korean media site Soompi reported that the 25-year-old singer's lifeless body was found inside his apartment in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea, at about 8:10 pm.
It was Moonbin's manager who found the singer and called the police.
Last March 25, the K-pop idol visited the Philippines with his fellow ASTRO member Sanha for their fan meeting event "Diffusion" held at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta Cubao, Quezon City.
During the fan meeting, Moonbin said he wants to visit Boracay, and go back to the Philippines with ASTRO members to perform again for Arohas.
