The Mall of Asia Arena lit up with glamour, pride, and pageantry as Miss World Philippines 2026 concluded on the night of February 3, crowning Asia Rose Simpson of Quezon City as the new queen.

Simpson bested 24 other candidates in a spectacle that blended beauty, advocacy, and world-class Filipino production.

She received the crown from reigning Miss World Philippines 2024 and Miss World Asia 2025, Krishnah Marie Gravidez, in an emotional passing of the title. Also present at the prestigious event were Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata Chuangsri and Miss World CEO Julia Morley, underscoring the pageant’s global significance.

The show opened with a grand production number featuring the candidates in shimmering gold dresses before the first set of special awards was announced. Early standouts included Miss Ifugao and Miss Davao Region, who collectively swept seven awards, including Miss Photogenic.

The announcement of the Top 15 followed, with eight Fast Track winners automatically securing spots. These included representatives from Ifugao, Davao Region, Quezon City, Manila, Naga City, Pampanga, Rizal Province, and Davao Region again for the Top Model Challenge. Completing the Top 15 were candidates from the Filipino Community of Europe, Bukidnon, Sultan Kudarat, Zamboanga City, Negros Island Region, Batangas, and Iligan City.

The Top 15 then faced the Personality and Casual Interview round, allowing judges to get to know the candidates beyond the runway. This was followed by the Swimsuit Round, where the candidates impressed in two-piece pink swimwear. In a rare twist, two Best in Swimsuit awards were given to Miss Ifugao and Quezon City.

Elegance took center stage during the Evening Gown segment as the candidates showcased Filipino-designed masterpieces. The Best in Evening Gown award went to Miss Filipino Community of New York. Shortly after, the Top 10 finalists were revealed, with Davao Region earning an automatic spot as the Online Vote winner, joined by Ifugao, Quezon City, Pampanga, Rizal, Manila, Sultan Kudarat, the Filipino Community of New York, Batangas, and the Filipino Community of the United Kingdom.

During the crucial question and answer round, Simpson was asked whether social media has helped or hurt society. She delivered a thoughtful response highlighting the rise of youth mental health issues and introduced her SED: Sports and Dance Initiative, advocating physical, mental, and emotional wellness. She emphasized the benefits of social media while urging responsible use, drawing strong applause from the audience.

Before the final announcement, Krishnah Gravidez and her court made their farewell walk, with Gravidez performing “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman, adding a sentimental note to the evening. Moments later, Simpson was declared Miss World Philippines 2026.

Beyond the crown, Simpson also secured the Beauty with a Purpose award for her SED Initiative, which has impacted more than 7,000 students worldwide through sports ambassador programs and dance scholarships. She also won the Talent Challenge and was named Dr. Toledo Cosmetic Ambassador. A dancer since childhood, she comes from the “Simpson Tribe,” known for their memorable performance on Pilipinas Got Talent in 2016.

No stranger to pageantry, Simpson previously held the title of 2023 New Mexico Teen USA and later won Miss World Quezon City before claiming the national crown.

Simson's Miss World Philippines court includes First Princess Anne De Mesa of Manila and Second Princess Gabriel Fuentes Galapia of Pampanga.
