President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. assured that the government will continue to take steps to further bring down the inflation in the Philippines.
The Chief Executive reiterated his commitment to improve the economy of the country after the Philippine Statistics Authority reported that the inflation rate dropped from 8.7 percent to 8.6 percent last February.
PSA attributed the easing of the inflation to the slowing down of transport-related prices, which include motorcycles, gasoline, and diesel.
The agency noted that transport-related prices registered a nine percent inflation rate in February from 11.1 percent last January.
