Jamela Villanueva, the ex-girlfriend of actor Anthony Jennings, has broken her silence about their breakup, revealing alleged infidelity involving Jennings and actress Maris Racal.
The issue quickly gained traction on social media after Villanueva posted a series of Instagram stories on Tuesday night, stating: "I can't stay silent any longer. It's been deeply painful, and I know it's no longer just about me. It's about protecting the people I love most, and I can't allow them to be dragged into this."
According to Villanueva’s screenshots, Jennings and Racal were exchanging messages and calls, which Jennings had told Villanueva was purely for "work."
"After that day, they continued talking to each other. During those times, nagtitiwala ako sa kanila," Villanueva said.
However, Villanueva claimed that the situation escalated when Jennings allegedly sent intimate pictures of himself with Racal during the summer of 2024. These exchanges, which reportedly continued for weeks, suggest that the couple's breakup may have occurred months ago.
"When Maris came into the picture, I was genuinely happy for you both. I even chose to be supportive despite the red flags I couldn't ignore. I respected your craft. I believed in you both. But betrayal like this cuts deep," Villanueva shared.
Earlier this year, Jennings and Racal confirmed their respective breakups with Villanueva and Rico Blanco, coinciding with the rising popularity of their pairing from the teleserye "Can't Buy Me Love."
"Months ago na rin kaming hiwalay ni Jam... Ako ‘yung may pagkukulang doon. Problema ko ‘yun, and dapat ko ‘yun ayusin mag-isa," Jennings said in a previous interview.
"Anthony is out of the picture here. It's just mainly me and Rico. Mainly me; I'm the issue," Racal said in a separate statement.
Jennings and Racal are currently working together on a new teleserye, "Incognito," alongside Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, Kaila Estrada, and Daniel Padilla.
