Another Filipino was arrested over alleged involvement in the case of a Japanese couple, whose corpses were found inside their residence in Tokyo, Japan, according to Japanese local media Kyodo News on Tuesday, January 23.
In a news article, Kyodo News identified the arrested man as Bryan Jefferson Lising dela Cruz, 33, who allegedly abandoned the bodies filled with multiple stab wounds of Norihiro Takahashi and Kimie.
"He has admitted to the allegations following his arrest Monday, according to the police," the media organization said.
As per the Tokyo police, dela Cruz was allegedly seen with an individual in the vicinity of the Japanese couple's house last January 16, three days before the incident.
According to Kyodo News, Tokyo police had said that dela Cruz conspired with an acquaintance, Hazel Ann Baguisa Morales, the Filipina who was first arrested last January 19.
Morales, however, denied that she abandoned the couple's corpses.
The family of Morales appealed to President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. and concerned government offices to help them reach Hazel, who is under police custody for investigation, through a telephone call.
Hazel's mother and aunt believe that she is innocent and had no involvement in the case.
