Petro Gazz Angels has a chance on Tuesday, March 28, to bring home the crown in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
The Angels need only one more win to win the title after beating the defending champions, the Creamline Cool Smashers, 25-22, 24-26, 25-23, 26-24, in Game One on Sunday, March 26, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Jonah Sabete tallied 18 points and Aiza Maizo-Pontillas chipped in 15 markers for Petro Gazz to take the lead in the best-of-three series.
Jema Galanza and Michele Gumabao both registered 18 points while Tots Carlos added 17 markers as the Cool Smashers tasted their first loss at the hands of Angels since 2019.
Game Two will happen at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
