The supposed hacking of Andrea Brillantes’ Instagram account has been revealed as a promotional stunt for her new single, Gaga.
On Thursday night, March 5, Brillantes announced the release of the song and shared a screenshot of fans speculating that the hacking incident might be part of a marketing strategy, which she reacted to with laughing emojis.
Her friend Bea Borres—who earlier confirmed the supposed hacking—commented “Yas” on the post, prompting fans to jokingly call her an accomplice. Meanwhile, Leon Barretto dubbed the actress the “queen of marketing.”
Fans earlier grew concerned after Brillantes’ Instagram account, which has over 14.6 million followers, deleted all posts, changed its profile photo to blank, and shared a cryptic Instagram Story with a caption “Ang toxic daw ni ga**.”
It was later revealed to be connected to the release of her new track.
