Former actress Andi Eigenmann's Instagram Stories have sparked rumors suggesting a potential breakup with her husband, Philmar Alipayo.
In a series of Instagram Stories on Friday, Andi posted what seemed to be cryptic messages, likely indicating issues in her relationship with Philmar, possibly involving infidelity.
Among the posts, Andi clarified the situation by interacting with an AI-generated chatbot. She asked, "Do you think it's sus when a friend invites your life partner to get a love couples tattoo with them without even filling you in or consulting you?" The chatbot responded, "definitely seems suspicious or red flags."
Andi explained that she had noticed red flags but chose to ignore them because the woman in question was already a friend of Philmar before she entered the picture.
"I was shy to call it out to my partner. Now I realize that setting boundaries in a relationship doesn't make it toxic," said Andi.
Meanwhile, Philmar responded to the issue through his own Instagram Story, confirming his wife’s statements.
"Kung ano man ang iyong nabasa. Yon ay totoo. Wala nang taguan dahil mahirap," said Alipayo.
"Kilala niyo naman pagkatao ko. So, siguro kilala niyo na kung ano siya. Hindi na kailangan pahabain pa," he added.
"You can call me a cheater and ugly now. Pero salamat sa mga taong nagmessage na nakakakilala sa akin," he wrote.
Philmar later posted a screenshot of a netizen calling him a cheater, stating, "It all helps. I deserve this from the beginning."
In her new Instagram Stories, Eigenmann provided more context to explain why she posted the previous messages.
According to the former actress, she’s fully aware that Philmar never cheated on her, as she was always around when he and his "friend" were together. However, Andi claimed that the woman had betrayed her.
"I posted because this person betrayed me and encouraged my husband to break up with me during every fight, even when I shared my side of the story with her. She didn't respect my feelings and instead chose to celebrate her and my husband's connection. The day after our fight, she inserted herself into the situation by encouraging him to get a spontaneous love couple tattoo with her," said Andi.
She believes that if the woman were innocent, she would have encouraged Philmar to get the tattoo when he was not vulnerable, and when things had calmed down.
Andi reached out to the woman to clarify the situation, but claimed she was ignored. She also expressed that she was hurt by Philmar’s apparent lack of concern about how the situation might affect her.
"I should have called it out the first time me and my husband found it weird that she got a huge tattoo on her shin dedicated to him! He, who is someone else's husband!!" Andi said in one of her recent Instagram Stories.
"I would never have shared anything at all if she had only had the nerve to respond to me. And now I am the bad one," she added in another post.
It was also noticed that the couple has unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Andi and Philmar have been engaged since 2020, and their family, known as the Happy Islanders, is based in Siargao.
Last year, they faced controversy after Philmar was spotted spending time with another woman. Andi addressed the issue, saying that Philmar "can go out with his friends, go drinking every once in a while, and chat with whoever he wants. No harm in that."
