Andi Eigenmann has finally addressed the viral video of her fiancé Philmar Alipayo with a woman.
In a TikTok video shared by user Crissia Ligaling, she and Philmar can be seen talking while standing next to each other. Later on, the professional surfer leans his head close to Liaging’s while looking at her face. He also playfully kicks her leg while holding her waist.
And while Ligaling denied flirting with Alipayo, netizens criticized her for using SWV’s song “Weak” as background music for her TikTok clip.
Eigenmann took to her Instagram stories to say that she doesn't see any "harm" in what Alipayo did.
"He can go out with his friends, go drinking every once in a while, and chat with whoever he wants. No harm in that," Andi wrote.
"What's shameful is purposely posting and editing a video to cause a stir, disturbing the peace of people and dragging them into their negativity, just for some social media attention," she added.
Shortly after Andi issued her statement, Crissa released her statement, denying the rumors between her and Philmar.
"Hindi totoo ang inyong iniisip at hindi totoo ang mga naglalabasang isyu sa social media. Alam ko mga kaibigan na mali ko, ako rin ang naglaglag sa aking sarili," she said in Bisaya and translated to English.
She likewise admitted that it was a misjudgment on her part to have shared the clip which was misinterpreted by netizens.
Eigenmann and Alipayo have two children together named Lilo and Koa.
The couple, who have been engaged since December 2020, earlier disclosed that they postponed their 2024 wedding given the recent death of Eigenmann’s mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose.
