A woman, who had been reported missing for three days, was found dead by the authorities inside a plastic drum in her home in Bacoor Cavite on Tuesday.
In an interview with DZRH, Bacoor PNP Chief Police Lt. Col. Ruther Saquilayan said the victim's American live-in partner, William Thomas Worth, 71, was the suspect behind the killing.
The body of the victim identified as Mila Loslos, 48, was placed inside a plastic garbage bag and sealed with duct tape by the suspect.
The cops arrested Worth around 1:30 PM in the victim’s house in Lot 7, B2, Santero Subdivision, Brgy. Habay 1, Bacoor City, and immediately admitted to the killing.
He said he and the victim had an argument and the victim had her head hit. Instead of helping, Worth reportedly strangled the victim and placed her inside the drum.
The Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit also recovered at the crime scene three knives and a nylon rope.
Police said it was the victim’s son, Nino Jay Loslos, 21, who went to the Bacoor police and reported that his mother was missing. He said he last saw his mother on May 5.
The authorities also noted that the suspect had wounds in different parts of his body.
The police said the victim’s body will undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death. They are also looking at jealousy as one of the motives for the crime.
Worth is now under the custody of Bacoor police and is scheduled to be charged.
