Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas Campaign Manager Rep. Toby Tiangco clarified on Monday that the administration-backed slate remains intact.
"The five-party Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, composed of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Lakas-CMD, National People’s Coalition (NPC), National Unity Party (NUP), and Nacionalista Party (NP), is intact," Tiangco said in an official statement.
He further noted that the slate’s candidates continue to enjoy strong support, not only at the national and local levels, but also from grassroots organizations.
"This is something that we welcome and we are proud of because politics is about addition, not division. It is about building coalitions. And in any election, every bit of support counts," he added.
The Navotas representative explained that the candidates under the Alyansa were personally chosen by President Marcos for their proven competence and solid track record.
Moreover, the candidates are part of the administration slate because of their strong commitment to the shared vision of "Bagong Pilipinas."
He added that one of the coalition’s goals is to build broad support around a shared platform, with the overarching objective of securing victory for all its candidates—individuals who are capable, committed, and deserving of the trust and confidence of the Filipino people.
Ultimately, Tiangco emphasized that every endorsement received by an Alyansa candidate is a clear sign of approval and support for the Bagong Pilipinas vision, which is championed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
"Ang bawat pag-endorso na makukuha ng bawat kandidato ng Alyansa ay patunay na pagtango at pagyakap sa Bagong Pilipinas na isinusulong ng ating Pangulo. And that is what matters most," he said in closing.
Earlier, presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos announced her decision to part ways with the slate, stating that the administration’s actions related to the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte do not align with her values and principles.
The reelectionist, along with Rep. Camille Villar, has reportedly received the endorsement of Vice President Sara Duterte.
