All the members of FIFTY FIFTY, the fast-rising K-pop girl group behind the hit song "Cupid," have filed a lawsuit against their current agency, ATTRAKT, seeking to suspend their exclusive contracts.

In a report from the Korean media outlet Soompi, the members Sio, Saena, Aran, and Keen, through their lawyer, filed for an injunction on June 19 to suspend their contracts due to ATTRAKT "violating their contract’s terms and breaking any trust between the two parties."

The group reportedly claimed that ATTRAKTlacked transparency in financial settlements and pushed the girls to engage in promotional activities despite poor health conditions.

"Despite their young age, the four members have tried to think and act independently. After fully consulting with their parents, they came to raise the issue with our help," their legal representative stated.

"The members questioned the various situations where ATTRAKT did not faithfully fulfill their contract obligations, such as the lack of transparency in financial documents and unilaterally trying to have the group promoted despite the members having health issues. We would also like to clarify that this [lawsuit] was a decision made by the four members themselves, with no outside intervention," it added.

The agency earlier announced that it reported music producer SIAHN, who helped produce and write lyrics for "Cupid," to the South Korean police for allegedly trying to poach the FIFTY FIFTY members.

It likewise accused Warner Music Korea, the girl group's global distributor, of approaching the girl group to violate their contracts. This was denied by Warner Music Korea.

"The members know how important of a time this is for them and how many people around them are worrying about them. When they first started to practice, they wanted to be artists who could be a good influence on others. The four members wanted to avoid arguing with or hiding wrong things. They made this decision independently, without any lies, to ensure they could move forward on the correct path," the statement from their legal representatives stated.

FIFTY FIFTY is currently on a break after one member recently underwent surgery.

"The four members want to be in front of their fans immediately. They promise they will continue to be more sincere as artists and independent. We sincerely ask that you refrain from speculative articles so there are no more victims due to unconfirmed claims," they said.

Debuted in November 2022, FIFTY FIFTY gained widespread popularity after becoming the fastest K-pop act to enter Billboard's Hot 100 chart with "Cupid."
