Also called the Grand Festival of Champions, Aliwan Fiesta is a celebratory extravaganza of vibrant heritage music and dance alongside dazzling Filipino beauty--and it is coming back to the CCP Complex in Pasay City on June 27 through 29!
A star-studded artist lineup of the likes of Dilaw, Ryssi Avila, Arthur Miguel, Yes My Love, and Auxbeat will grace the stage for the Pasakalye Concert, following the Tugtog ng Aliwan competition that will kick off festivities on the 27th.
Filipina beauty always abounds in the Reyna ng Aliwan pageants, as beauty queens from everywhere in the country gather to represent the distinctive allure of their respective regions in the hopes of obtaining the crown. This year, the event is set to take place on June 28. Balladeer Daryl Ong will serenade the queens and audience.
There is no shortage of brilliance in the riveting culture, talent, and beauty which makes the festival dance competition a true highlight. The exuberant dances embody the unique richness which distinguishes each regional festival. The street dance that comes out on top on June 29 will take home a grand prize of Php 1.5 million.
On the same day, the musicians who pump life into the dances will also contend for the top spot in the Tugtog ng Aliwan competition. This one also promises a lively display of musicality and showmanship as competitors endeavor to satisfy criteria like arrangement, stage presence, and audience impact. The best group wins P100,000.
The fiesta will peak as winners are announced at its awarding ceremony. Concluding it are rapper Tom Taus and Rocksteddy, who are sure to serve dynamic performances crackling with high-energy rock beats.
