Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco reported on Tuesday, August 27, that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is already in Jakarta, Indonesia, and is being closely monitored by foreign counterparts.

"Ang latest natin, may confirmation tayo na nasa Jakarta, Indonesia siya ngayon," Tansingco revealed during an exclusive interview with DZRH for Dos Por Dos.

"Hindi pa siya nakakalabas kasi binabantayan na rin siya ng Indonesian immigration, kung dadaan man din siya sa regular na ports of exit," he added.

The Commissioner assured that the agency is continuously coordinating with Indonesian Immigration and has been monitoring Guo since August 20, when she flew from Batam to Jakarta.

"May kaugnayan na tayo sa kanila na kung makita nila [Indonesian authorities], i-intercept nila then i-turnover sa atin," said Tansingco.

Guo's current whereabouts are being traced, and her locations have been confirmed. However, details about the actions of Indonesian immigration are not being disclosed to avoid affecting the ongoing process.

The bureau of Immigration (BI) holds a report of a possible sighting of the dismissed mayor and they have confirmed what flight Guo took from the airport and her subsequent destinations.

They are establishing that Guo was accompanied by a Chinese national who is also a person of interest in the Philippines. The Chinese national is Wu Duanren, who is also listed in the Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO).

"Identified din siya [Wu Duanren] doon na kasama sa Porac tyaka sa Bamban na POGO," said Tansingco.

"Kasama siya [Duanren] sa nag-arrange ng mga transfers nitong nila Alice at tyaka mga kasamahan niya. Pero ngayon si Wu, sinusubaybayan din nandoon din pa siya sa Indonesia," he added.

Tansingco once again mentioned that various agencies are still unable to determine how Guo and her companions managed to leave the country.

"Yun ang una kong order, to determine how and where itong sila Alice nakaalis dito sa Pilipinas. Based sa coordination sa PNP, PAOCC, PCG, wala pang nakikita kung saan at paano ito dumaan," Tansingco mentioned.

Tansingco stated that it seems relatively easy to leave the country without being traced due to what is known as a "backdoor" method. He explained that renting a pump boat allows one to go island hopping out of the country, potentially reaching Malaysia or Sabah.

Currently, the Bureau of Immigration is reconciling data with the help of their counterparts to compile accurate information and so far, the data and information they have received are conflicting.

Furthermore, Tansingco maintained that no immigration personnel were involved in the illegal departure of Guo and her group.

"May tiwala ako sa mga officers natin na hindi sila gagawa ng ganitong hindi dapat gawin," Tansingco said in closing.
