Philippine National Police (PNP) Spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said on Thursday, September 5, that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo may arrive in the Philippines from Indonesia by Thursday night.

In a press briefing at Camp Crame, Quezon City, Spokesperson Fajardo confirmed that the Philippine and Indonesian officials held a meeting to discuss the details of Guo’s turnover with authorities. She furthered that both countries were in coordination before the arrest of the dismissed mayor.

“Pinag-usapan nila dyan yung mga details initially, on how to proceed doon sa turnover. 1:00 PM Jakarta time muling makikipag-meeting yung Philippine contingenet sa mga representative at mga tauhan International Relation Division ng Indonesian National Police kung saan yung National Center Bureau of Jakarta—yung interpol ang silang may supervision,” PNP Spokesperson Fajardo said.

“At silang nanghuli kay Alice Guo para pag-usapan yung formal turnover ni Alice Guo papunta sa ating bansa. Magkakatawan sa ating gobyerno ay sina DILG Secretary at Chief PNP,” she furthered.

Fajardo cleared that there is no exact arrival time yet, but they will release a media advisory once details have been confirmed. Upon their arrival, Guo will be taken to Camp Crame to undergo a physical and medical examination while under the custody of the PNP.

‘‘Ang plano ay kapag nai-turnover na sa kanila si Alice Guo ay dadalhin dito sa Camp Crame para mag undergo ng medical examination para tingnan din at siguraduhing nasa maayos siyang kalagayan bago siya i-turnover sa Senate; Dahil may existing warrant sa kanya ang Senate,” Fajardo said.

The PNP were the ones asked to serve the arrest warrant against Guo from the Office of the Sgt. at Arms of the Senate, which was used as the basis for why the latter will be under their custody.
