Alex Gonzaga has finally opened up about her miscarriage on Sunday, October 17, sharing to her fans the grief that she and her husband, Lipa City councilor Mikee Morada, are experiencing.
"[Two] months ago we found out that I was pregnant and [three] weeks ago, we got a heartbreaking news that we might be having an anembryonic pregnancy (blighted ovum)," Alex wrote in her post, sharing photos of a positive pregnancy test, and of her being confined in a hospital, accompanied by Morada.
"Everyday we were clinging on to a miracle that an embryo would still appear but last Tuesday (Oct12), the Lord’s will prevailed and we finally closed the book of our first pregnancy," she continued.
The actress then consoled couples who have gone through miscarriages and reminded them not to blame themselves.
"To any couple who’s going through this or who might go through this pain, don’t ever lose hope. It’s not your fault this happened," she wrote
“To our baby whom we almost had, thank you for giving mommy and daddy joy even for a short span [of time],” she continued.
Among the celebrities who sent words of comfort in the comments section were her sister, actress Toni Gonzaga, model Isabelle Daza, and actress Janella Salvador.
Alex and Mikee have been married since November 2020. The actress-vlogger announced their marriage earlier this year.
