Alas Pilipinas fell short of snatching a win in the opening day of the first leg of the 2024 SEA Women's V. League in Vietnam.

The Philippine national women's volleyball team suffered a four set-loss, 23-25, 25-20, 22-25, 21-25, at the hands of Vietnam on Friday, August 2.

Alyssa Solomon scored 20 points, all from attacks, while Dell Palomata added 14 markers, built from nine attacks and five blocks, to pace the Filipinas in their opening match.

Nguyen Thi Bích Tuyen finished with 27 points to pave the way for the victory of the host team.

The Philippine national women's volleyball team will seek to make a comeback when the squad faces Thailand on Saturday, August 3.
