The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the United States (US) military officials recommend the establishment of additional Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) sites in the country.

In a report by RH Edniel Parrosa, the talk was confirmed by US-Indo Pacific Commander Admiral John Aquilino at the Mutual Defense Board-Security Engagement Board meeting.

Aquilino mentioned that he and AFP Chief General Romeo Brawner Jr. recommended that they allow the country’s leader to choose the new location for the said additional EDCA sites.

Meanwhile, senior military officials from the country and the US visited the three EDCA sites in Cagayan and Pampanga yesterday.
