The Philippine Army (PA) on Wednesday said it will intensify its counter-intelligence measures to monitor its former soldiers, especially those who "possess special skills."
In a press statement, the PA said it will also create an intelligence unit that will work closely with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in order to avert criminal acts that may be perpetrated in the future.
"We are also considering the review of the Philippine Army Transition Assistance Program which offers opportunities for education, training, livelihood, legal services, and financial counseling for retiring personnel and retiring soldiers," it also said.
