The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), led by AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., has alerted the military and emphasized that the Philippines is already in the midst of a "war."

According to RH Edniel Parrosa's report, Brawner remarked in his speech during the 38th anniversary of the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) that the Philippines is experiencing cyber and political warfare, allegedly orchestrated by China's United Front Works.

He went on to say that different sectors of the country, including schools, churches, and the military, are already facing infiltration.

This is not the first time Brawner has warned about what he described as China's alleged infiltration to the country. However, he emphasized that soldiers must remain vigilant and treat the current situation as an ongoing war.

"We are experiencing already cyber warfare, information warfare, cognitive warfare, political warfare. Sinisingitan na tayo," said Brawner.

"The communist China is already conducting United Front Works in our country," he added.

In the same speech at NOLCOM, Brawner urged the military to prepare for the possibility of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, warning that it could impact as many as 250,000 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) if conflict arises.
