More Quadruple A contractors are expected to participate in President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s ‘Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino’ (4PH) Program, according to the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
The DHSUD said Thaison Builders and Data Land Inc., both licensed as Quadruple A contractors by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB), are in the final stages of discussions with the Department and the Pag-IBIG Fund to undertake projects under the Expanded 4PH.
A Quadruple A license is the highest classification issued by the PCAB and is granted to construction firms that meet requirements on financial capacity, technical expertise, and experience to handle large-scale and complex projects.
Furthermore, DHSUD said the development follows the recent participation of Megawide Construction Corporation, another Quadruple A contractor, which last month signed a memorandum of agreement with the Pag-IBIG Fund to initially construct 7,000 socialized housing units nationwide under the 4PH program.
The department also claims that since the assumption of Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling they have adjusted the housing program since his assumption by adding more implementation options, streamlining licensing processes, and holding regular consultations with private developers.
“Mahalaga po ang papel ng private developers sa Expanded 4PH, sila po ang nangunguna sa production ng socialized housing at tayo sa DHSUD ay aagapay sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng mas mabilis at malinis na serbisyo,” Secretary Aliling said according to the department.
“Ang pagpasok ng trusted Duadruple A private sector developer contractors sa 4PH ay isang magandang senyales na nagtitiwala at naniniwala sila sa flagship housing program ng national government,” Aliling added.
The 4PH program is the Marcos administration’s flagship housing initiative aimed at increasing the supply of affordable and socialized housing units across the country through partnerships with the private sector and government financing institutions.
