ABS-CBN's afternoon show "It's Showtime" will continue to air on GMA Network next year.
The news was confirmed by GMA News Corp Communications to GMA News Online on Friday, saying, "It’s Showtime' will continue to air in GMA in 2025! Maligayang Pasko, madlang Kapuso at Kapamilya!"
GMA News Online noted that the swift confirmation followed the statement of GMA Network Senior Vice President, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, in November 2024, that the parties involved were "in a process of negotiations for the renewal of It's Showtime."
"It's Showtime" first aired on GMA's GTV in July 2023 before also starting to air on the GMA main channel in April 2024.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN shared the news in a statement on December 20, 2024.
"ABS-CBN is happy to share the good news that 'It's Showtime' will continue to air on the noontime slot of GMA from Monday to Saturday. ABS-CBN and 'It's Showtime' family are most grateful to GMA for their continued trust and support. We will continue to inspire and bring happiness to our audiences. Thank you Kapuso, Kapamilya, and Madlang People," the statement reads.
